By accessing or using TailHarbor ("the Service"), operated at tailharbor.eu, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TailHarbor is a pet adoption aggregator that collects and displays animal listings from rescue shelters across Europe. We act as an intermediary — we do not own, house, or manage any animals. All adoption decisions and processes are handled directly by the individual shelters.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account to access additional features such as saving favourites and search preferences. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Animal Listings

Animal information displayed on TailHarbor is sourced from third-party shelter websites and is provided "as is". While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and up to date:

• We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing
• Animals may have been adopted, relocated, or removed since the listing was last updated
• Breed, age, size, and other attributes are as reported by the source shelter
• Photos are sourced from the original shelter and may not reflect the animal's current appearance

5. Contact & Adoption

When you submit a contact enquiry through TailHarbor, your information is shared with the relevant shelter. We facilitate the connection but have no role in the adoption process, fees, requirements, or decisions made by the shelter.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service without permission
• Submit false or misleading information
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data

7. Intellectual Property

The TailHarbor name, logo, and website design are our property. Animal photos and descriptions are the property of their respective shelters and are displayed under fair use for the purpose of facilitating animal adoption.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TailHarbor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any issues arising from the adoption process with third-party shelters.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Clerk (authentication), Google (analytics and advertising), Cloudflare (content delivery), and Meta (social media). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state in which the operator resides.
