Kitty is not in an animal shelter. Her owner says the following about her: Kitty is 11 years old and has lived with me since she was 5 months old. She is a loving and cuddly cat who needs a lot of love and affection. She is sensitive and often reacts a little jumpy to loud noises or sudden movements, but with patience and calm she blossoms and shows her affectionate side. She is an indoor cat, so is not used to going outside, but loves to spend time on the secure balcony, watching the world outside and sunbathing. It would therefore be a great advantage if she could continue to do this in her new home. She likes to play with fishing rods and enjoys catnip. If you order new toys for her, the box is usually the most interesting part. Her biggest hobby is cuddling, but she doesn't like being picked up. Kitty has shown marking behavior in the apartment for several years. She marks almost every day. Multiple visits to the vet revealed the same thing over and over again - it is probably a stress-related behavior that first appeared after a conflict with a previous cat, subsided only for a short time after moving, but started again after a few months and has never stopped since - they suspect a stress-related bladder infection. Kitty is currently not living alone but with another cat again. After the move I had the feeling that she felt alone and perhaps needed a companion. That was a misjudgement on my part. Perhaps keeping her alone and giving her lots of love and affection is what she needs to calm down and the marking will subside. However, there is of course no guarantee. Kitty befindet sich nicht im Tierheim. Folgendes sagt Ihre Besitzerin über sie: Kitty ist 11 Jahre alt und lebt seitdem sie 5 Monate alt war bei mir. Sie ist eine liebe und verschmuste Katze, die sehr viel Liebe und Zuneigung braucht. Sie ist sensibel und reagiert auf laute Geräusche oder plötzliche Bewegungen oft etwas schreckhaft, mit Geduld und Ruhe blüht sie aber auf und zeigt ihre anhängliche Seite. Sie ist eine Wohnungskatze, ist also keinen Freigang gewohnt, liebt es aber Zeit auf dem gesicherten Balkon zu verbringen, draußen die Welt zu beobachten und sich zu Sonnen. Deshalb wäre es sehr von Vorteil, wenn sie dies auch in ihrem neuen Zuhause weiterhin tun könnte. Sie spielt gerne mit Spielangeln und freut sich über Katzenminze. Bestellt man ihr neue Spielsachen, dann ist der Karton meist das interessanteste daran. Ihr größtes Hobby ist das Kuscheln, sie mag es allerdings nicht, wenn man sie hochhebt. Kitty zeigt seit einigen Jahren ein Markierverhalten in der Wohnung. Sie markiert beinahe täglich. Mehrfache Tierarztbesuche ergaben immer wieder dasselbe – es handelt sich vermutlich um ein stressbedingtes Verhalten, das zum ersten Mal nach einem Konflikt mit einer früheren Mitkatze auftrat, sich nachdem Umzug nur für kurze Zeit legte, aber nach ein paar Monaten wieder begann und seither nie aufhörte - Sie vermuten eine stressbedingte Blasenentzündung. Kitty lebt momentan nicht allein, sondern wieder mit einer anderen Katze zusammen. Da ich nachdem Umzug das Gefühl hatte, das sie sich alleine fühlt und vielleicht doch eine Artgenossin braucht. Das war eine Fehleinschätzung meinerseits. Vielleicht ist Einzelhaltung und viel Liebe und Zuneigung das was sie braucht, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und das markieren legt sich.
