Piñato is a dog that must have had bad experiences with his previous owners so he has learned that humans are a potential threat to him. He needs a lot of time and needs all interaction and physical contact to be very very progressive, otherwise he is very likely to react in an aversive way to that potential danger to him. He is a dog that has been living most of his life with a muzzle on. He is very stressed in the kennel so his caregivers are taking him out for walks as much as they can. He already trusts a lot in our companion, who knows how to understand him and, as you can see in the pictures, gives him kisses; she has been little by little with him, giving him her time and Piñato has been trusting her more and more and letting himself be loved. At the beginning he was not ready to be put in a harness and he would mouth, but now he has started to associate it with something positive and pleasant: going for a walk; and he is already letting her put it on very well.
